Hi Myriam,
we have 2 questions regarding currency:
can we exchange euro for tanzanian shilling at the hotel?
is it necessary to have tanzanian shillings around the hotel?

best regards,
Hilbert en Wimmie

Dear Hilbert and Wimmie,
In the hotel, you don't have to pay anything during your stay, you just sign, you settle your bill at the end of your stay and you can pay in euro or shilling or credit card... We can exchange money but here everybody accept also ud$ or euro.
Regards
Myriam

Hi Myriam

I've read on another forum (cannot recall which) that quite a few people have had "billing problems" and arguments on departure. Perhaps one should pay for meals/services/drinks/whatever as they are used??

Similar complaints have been that the airport transfers did not happen and they had to pay US$ 60 for the transfer??

I cannot find anything on menu's = what is offered in your breakfast and dinner buffet's

See you soon

Regards

Hennie

Myriam

Thanks for the reply = as long as I get Bacon and fried eggs for breakfast I'm a happy chappie

My info as follows :

We're booked into superior rooms from 7 to 14 June on a Dinner, Bed and breakfast basis.

Airport transfers are included both ways.

Please confirm that this is what you have on record on your side (room number would be appreciated). What would the cost be to upgrade to "front row" bungalows (Junior Suites, I think you call them)?

Would USD only be OK or do we need a small cache of a few thousand TZ shilling for local expenses.

Looking forward to our stay & see you in a week or so.

Regards

Hennie

Hello Hilbert and Wimmie,
We can exchange currancy at the airport, in many places in own or at the hotel. At the hotel you can pay with any currancy, outside, you can pay also in USD or euro in all shop and restaurants, but it is better for little amount to have some local tanzanian Shilling.
Best regards
Myriam
